Announcing the U.S.-UK trade deal framework, President Donald Trump stated that the United States and the United Kingdom have reached a historic agreement, calling the UK one of America's most cherished allies. He emphasised that the deal will unlock billions of dollars in market access, particularly benefiting American agriculture. However, the U.S. added that the final details will be concluded in the coming weeks.
Trump also highlighted that the UK will eliminate numerous non-tariff barriers and fast-track U.S. goods through the customs process, ensuring there will be "no red tape" on either side. The agreement also secures market access for American machinery and other products.
Trump also noted that China wants to make a deal very badly too, and announced the conclusion of a critical minerals deal with Ukraine.
