U.S. President Trump: U.S. achieved a total reset with China

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that U.S. achieved a total reset with China, with the best part of the deal being China’s agreement to open up its market. He noted that opening up China will take some time to formalise and that China will suspend non-monetary barriers as part of the agreement.

Trump confirmed that China has agreed to stop fentanyl flows but clarified that the agreement does not include pharmaceuticals, nor does it cover tariffs on cars, steel and aluminum.

He mentioned plans to speak with China’s President Xi at the end of the week, possibly.

The U.S. leader also said he spoke with Apple's CEO Tim Cook this morning, who assured him that Apple will build a lot in the U.S.

Additionally, Trump stated that the U.S. is ready to help India and Pakistan with trade, noting that trade is a big reason they stopped fighting.
