The U.S. Energy
Information Administration (EIA) reported on Thursday that natural gas
inventories climbed by 110 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week that ended May
9. This marked the 9th straight weekly advance in
natural gas inventories, which was also the sharpest one since late May 2023.
Economists had foreseen a surge of 110 bcf.
The previous week witnessed a jump of 104 bcf.
